This Privacy Policy explains how the "Privacy Factory" mobile application (bundle identifier com.pinhansu.privacyfactory, the "App") handles your data. The App is developed and provided by Pin-Han Su ("we", "us").
The App has no accounts, no backend servers, and no analytics SDKs. Photos you select are processed on-device only, and you decide where cleaned files go (Photos, the Files app, or the share sheet). We cannot access — and never receive — any of your photos or usage data.
The following live only on your device, are never uploaded, and are removed when you delete the App:
The processing history records operation summaries only — for example the processing time, item count and the categories of metadata removed — and never contains any image content or thumbnails. It stays on your device, is excluded from iCloud backup, and you can turn it off or clear it at any time in the App's settings.
Photo selection uses Apple's system photo picker (PhotosPicker); the App only receives the items you actively select and cannot browse your library. Saving results back to Photos requests the system's "Add to Photos" permission — the App writes only and never reads (add-only). Cleaning always outputs a new copy; the App does not modify or delete your original files.
You can send photos to the App from other apps via the share sheet. The extension only receives the items you share at that moment and processes them exactly like the main app — entirely on-device, with nothing uploaded.
"Privacy Factory Pro" is a one-time purchase (not a subscription), handled entirely by the Apple App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. Receipt validation and restore are performed on-device via Apple's StoreKit.
When a cleaned file is re-generated on your device, the system may write technical information such as a generator marker and the processing time into it. This information is produced by system frameworks, contains no personal data, and does not include the metadata removed from the original photo. You can inspect the output file yourself before sharing.
The App is not directed at children, and since it collects no data, no children's personal data is ever collected.
If future features change how data is handled, we will update this page and its "last updated" date, and note material changes prominently inside the App.
